10U Player Assessment (Last Names K-Z)
The coaches will be at the assessments performing simple drills to gain an understanding of softball abilities. All players will make a team, this is just an effort to create well balanced teams for a fun, more competitive season. If parents are available to help during your assessment window, coaches would greatly appreciate it! If your child plans to pitch, parents are highly encouraged to be available to catch (we will have extra gloves if needed).

Free Gear / Gear Swap (all ages)
If you need ANY gear, we will be having a gear swap during our 10/12/14U assessment on January 27th. We will be at Northern Lights School from 9:00am-4:00pm with a booth for all of our extra gear that is available for all players to take home for free (no need to swap)! We will have gloves, cleats, bats, softball bags, catchers gear, helmets, batting gloves, and more in a mix of sizes from 6U-14U! Please stop by anytime between 9 and 4 to see what we have and remember, the best glove is a pre-loved one that is already broken in!! We will also be available to help advise on sizing (for bats and gloves) so come talk to us if you have any questions!

OGSL A's night
A’s vs. Cincinnati Reds
• 300 tickets reserved in Section 123
• Ticket Sales will begin in late March
• $30 per ticket, $5 per ticket to benefit OGSL
• Parking group rate $20 per pass
OGSL at Cal Softball
Sunday, 12March, 12pm
• 100 tickets reserved in outfield General Admission (no assigned seats)
• Ticket Sales begin 1Feb
• $10 per ticket ($4 per ticket will benefit OGSL). Face value of these tickets is $10 (youth) and $20 (adults).

Vipers Information Meeting
OGSL (in partnership with Piedmont) field summer travel teams at the 8U, 10U, and 12U age levels. Our Oakland Vipers teams are an opportunity for players to continue to develop softball skills and experience competition against other teams from the Bay and Area and beyond.
We are having an online Vipers information meeting on January 19th using Google Meet, please email vipers@ogsl.org for link. This is an opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions about this summer's Vipers teams.

Family First Pitch Meeting
OGSL is hosting an informational meeting for families, the Family First Pitch Meeting, on Wednesday, Feb 2 at 8pm. Please check your email for the link or email info@ogsl.org for log in information.
Log in to meet the Board, hear more about the upcoming season, our COVID rules, and have a chance to ask any questions you may have! A copy of the slides and OGSL COVID Policy will be emailed to all families after the meeting so no worries if you can’t attend. This will be an especially good way for new families to ask any questions you may have about the upcoming season.
Vipers 12B tryouts
Tryout Information:
The tryout will begin at 1:00pm sharp. Please arrive early enough to warm up in advance of the tryout. There will be no group warm up or conditioning time allotted.
Pitching and Catching tryouts will occur after a short break following the completion of the regular tryout. There will not be any gear available to share among the participants, players should bring their own.
Players should arrive dressed to play, with cleats and long softball pants.
Players will be assessed on their throwing, fielding, catching, and hitting skills. We will also be looking for players with positive attitudes and hustle.
Please fill out the Viper 12B Tryout form if your daughter plans on trying out. If you have already done so, you do not have to do it again.
